Do you have fragrance in your products? How do they smell?
We never use synthetic fragrances in our products. All Little Pure Project products are fragrance- free and their smell comes from botanical oils used in our products. We love to smell our babies, so we always make sure that our products have an extra mild smell that wouldn’t cover up our babies’ slightly sweet and addictive smell.
What do you mean by plant-based skincare?
Our skin is our largest organ. What we put on it plays a big role in our overall health and well-being. Plant-based products contain a percentage of ingredients that are of plant origin, such as extracts, oils or highly processed substances obtained from raw plant materials. They use blends of botanical ingredients to support and nourish the skin. At Pure Project, we recommend that you choose plant-based products, read labels, understand ingredients and do as much research as possible to know what’s inside the skincare products you’re purchasing and using on your skin. That’s why we have created an Ingredient Glossary to help you in your research!
Is plant-based skincare vegan?
Plant-based products are made with plant extracts and oils and will generally be vegan. Our vegan products are accredited by the Vegan Society and we always include their logo on our packaging and website.
Is plant-based skincare organic?
No, not all plant-based skin care will be organic. Organic plants are grown in a controlled environment where they are not exposed to synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers. We have listed our certified organic ingredients with (*) sign on our labels, boxes and website.
Are all of your products really organic?
Many products claim to be natural or organic, but how can you be sure? Here at Pure Project we disclose organic ingredients with (*) sign and plant-based ingredients with (**) sign on our labels, boxes and website so you know exactly what is in each product.
What does “organic” really means?
It means that the plant was grown with respect for the earth, the soil, the farmer and you, the consumer. Certified organic farms adhere to strict standards, growing crops without the use of harmful pesticides or the usual dose of toxic chemical fertilizers. Manufacturers of certified organic products have to undertake a monumental process that assures consumers of the purity of each ingredient, process and final product, through every stage of manufacturing.
Why aren’t all of your ingredients organic?
Simply put, some ingredients just don't exist (like water or salt) in an organic form, and some ingredients are not available certified organic.
Do you use artificial fragrance, SLS, parabens or synthetic preservatives?
No, and we never will!
Are Pure Project products cruelty-free?
Yes! None of our products or individual ingredients are tested on animals.
Pure Project is animal friendly- where do you test?
We never test our beautiful products on animals. Our range has been extensively tested on our families, friends & excited new mums in our local community looking for truly 100% natural skincare. From babies & toddlers to teens, mums, dads and grandparents, our products have been used on rashes, flaky, dry, eczema prone and extra sensitive skin, with amazing results and 100% positive feedback.
Which tests do you conduct on your products?
Stability tests (12 months), quality control tests (microbiological tests, physical controls, initial-intermediate-finished product controls), protective efficacy tests, physicochemical tests, performance tests, and dermatological tests are performed on our products.
Should I be worried about using any of PP products?
There are a lot of concerns about some of the ingredients commonly used in babycare products. Pure Project never wants you to have to worry about those things, so we worked very hard to formulate the safest products for your little ones. All Pure Project products are free from toxins and any worrisome ingredients, such as artificial preservatives, fragrance, surfactants, emulsifiers, sulfates, parabens, and alcohol
Would your products irritate my or my baby’s allergies?
You are the best judge of what is safe for you and your baby. You know your body best. Please check the ingredients lists and our Ingredient Glossary to see if any of your known allergens are in our products. If you have specific questions or concerns about product safety, allergies or ingredients, it is always best to consult with your Pediatrician.
What is the shelf-life of Pure Project products?
Shelf life for all Little Pure Project products is 3 years. Once you open a product, you should use it within a year. You can find the manufacture date printed on our labels and boxes.
